*Note: Do not use this method as it can damage gold jewelry.

5) Baking Soda and Vinegar

If the rust is very bad, you can try mixing a teaspoon of baking soda and a little white vinegar in a bowl. When it starts to bubble, soak your jewelry for a few minutes. Remove the jewelry from the bowl and dry it with a cloth and you’re done!

Jewelry can change color or oxidize when exposed to moisture.
