Serena Williams, the most successful tennis player in history, returns to the courts of Wimbledon. Although she didn’t show off the performance she expected, recovering from a long-suffering injury was her first priority. In this article we will discover about Serena Williams Plastic Surgery and Why She Had to Take a Year Off.

Every Wimbledon tennis tournament is special, but this year, in particular, there was a comeback of Serena Williams, who had been absent for 363 days due to injury and illness. Do you know why Serena Williams had to take her one-year hiatus?

The return of seven-time Wimbledon champion Serena Williams was great news for all fans. Williams holds the record for being the youngest US mixed doubles champion in 1998, at the age of 16.

Williams has tremendous talent that everyone will appreciate, but nobody can stop the passage of time. The 40-year-old has had the misfortune of suffering multiple injuries late in her career.

Why Serena Williams Took a Year Off

After 363 days of absence, Serena finally made a comeback at Wimbledon. She withdrew from the first round of Wimbledon last year due to a right leg injury.

Serena Williams suffered a hamstring tear at the time. More specifically, the fibers that make up the muscle are torn.

Muscle tears are a problem that occurs when fibers contract suddenly or repeatedly, and muscle fiber fatigue or lack of hydration can increase the risk of muscle injury.

The hamstrings are the area on the back of the thigh and consist of the semitendinosus, the semimembranosus, and the biceps femoris. The hamstrings are important for athletes because they are needed to move the knee and hip joints.

Other Complications

A hamstring tear isn’t the only reason Serena Williams has been sidelined for nearly a year.

After several months of muscle recovery and rehabilitation, she suffered from migraines, a long-standing chronic illness. Migraine is not a problem often mentioned in the sports world, but it is a disease that causes considerable pain and discomfort.

I’m not retired, I just have time to recover my body and mind. At the time, I didn’t have any plans, and I couldn’t even guess when and in what form I would return.

Serena Williams was originally a migraine sufferer but says her symptoms got worse during the pandemic. In addition to genetics and environment, pressure, personal life problems, and personal business appear to have played a role in the onset of migraines.

Serena Williams cuts her workload and stops exercising to relieve her migraines. She was also on medication as per her doctor’s advice.

Why Serena Williams Got Black Tape On Her Cheeks

In a recent match, Serena Williams appeared with black tape on her cheek. She was found to have sinusitis (sinusitis), which inflamed the sinuses, causing pain and shortness of breath.

A patient with chronic sinusitis, competed for a patch to expand her sinuses to relieve discomfort. Failure to follow these measures in severe symptomatic situations may result in breathing difficulties during training or competition.

Her goal is to recover from an injury.

Serena Williams was scheduled to compete in the US Open in New York last year but withdrew due to an injury. In addition to that, she has had surgery on her left knee, surgery for a wound caused by stepping on a piece of glass, and tendon surgery.

In particular, the wound caused by stepping on a piece of glass led to a pulmonary embolism. This is a condition in which blood flow to the lungs is blocked by a blood clot, which can pose a serious risk depending on the size of the blockage and the artery.

But all of this is in the past. Having won 23 major titles, she will work harder than anyone else this season to show her complete recovery from her injuries and show off her best performance.
